2nd Grade Warhol Printmaking
Students in 2nd
grade learned about the famous Pop Artist
Andy Warhol. Warhol was famous for his bright colored paintings and prints of
the same object over and over. 2nd
graders used their hands as inspiration for this project. First they traced their hands and then used
bright colors to carefully paint them.
Next the students learned about the art form of printmaking and used their fingers to do finger prints and their hands to do
hand prints. By repeating their hand in their work they created works of art in
the style of Andy Warhol.
